Many families need a larger vehicle to get them around. Those with more than 3 children find it difficult coping with just a regular sized car. Here are some seven seater car options with varying budgets to suit everyone:
Audi Q7 " The Q7 is a very large car with copious space inside for all the family. If performance is important to you, the Q7 could be the one for you. The most popular model is the 3.0 litre TDI. It is supremely refined and has a wonderfully quiet and smooth ride. With a top speed of 135mph and a 0-62mph time of just 7.9 seconds, you won't be left trailing.
Kia Carens " The Kia Carens may not be the best looking of the bunch, but it offers a lot at an affordable price. It combines practicality and flexibility and feels very well-built, so you won't feel like you are driving a cheap car. All the Carens models have competitive insurance ratings and return around 50mpg, not bad for such a large car. The Carens comes with a wealth of safety features, including front, side and curtain airbags, stability control and active head restraints to prevent against whiplash in the event of a collision.
BMW X5 " The X5 has been around for a while now, but it's still proving to be a popular choice. The X5 is a large car and has 620 litres of storage space inside, which increases to a cavernous 1,750 litres with the rear seats folded flat. The main selling point for the X5 though is the handling. It has the feel of a 5 Series Saloon through corners. The range-topping model can reach speeds of 152mph, but with underwhelming fuel economy, it could result in expensive running costs.
Vauxhall Zafira " The Vauxhall Zafira has recently had a facelift, taking it from a fairly mundane MPV to a stylish yet practical family car. The Zafira is a very flexible car, the seats fold in different ways depending on how you want to use it and how many passengers you have. It has some great features such as stop-start technology, FlexRide adaptive dampers and panoramic roof.
Ford S-MAX " The S-MAX has a lower driving position than other MPV's, but visibility is still excellent. Space is also not an issue here, with ample head and legroom and a large boot. The S-MAX has so many exciting features. Even the entry level Zetec has dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, Bluetooth and electric windows. There is also an abundance of safety features, including antilock brakes, ESP and airbags all round.
Of the above five my choice would be the Ford S-MAX. If you want more information, contact your local Ford S-MAX Hastings dealer.
